When you hear the words 'cover up' something comes into your mind. Some might think of Watergate. Whatever you think of, cover up simply means that something is being hidden from someone.
Over the past few weeks our President, and his surrogates, have been explaining the Benghazi tragedy from many different platforms. One might have expected a press conference by now, where the President tells the American people exactly what was known and when it was known (and who knew it), but that platform has been empty. Instead, no reasonable explanation has come forth from anyone at the top, or anywhere near the top. The statements have created not only confusion, but have eroded trust in this Administration.
People died. People lied.
As more and more information is vetted it appears that information was flowing in real time that contradicts the narrative. People at the top knew exactly what was going on and chose to mislead the world. You can use the word lie if you like, but they certainly had a coordinated narrative that was designed to misdirect and mislead.
It would have been better to have said nothing than to say what they said, especially about the video. Time will clear up the issue about the video but why would the President even bring that up? When the leader of the free world mentions the video he makes it 'noteworthy', he gives it 'credibility', and for what purpose? Why throw gasoline on a potential, world wide Islamic fire? What possible purpose can that serve? And, if I have this right, it had something like 30 hits on YouTube before it was mentioned.
Stay tuned, folks.
